One of the things that attracts people to Reason is the fact that it is entirely selfcontained – at least, it is if you want it to be. With just a laptop and a USB MIDI keyboard you can use all of its synths, effects and tricks such as automation and Remote. It doesn’t cater for plug-ins or audio recording, but many users regard this as a strength, keeping the program solid and focused.
