Reverb is an essential part of music production, but in Reason 3.0 there’s more to it than meets the eye. Hollin Jones explains why...

Together with compression and EQ, reverb is one of the most widely used effects in music production. That’s because sound recorded in a virtual space rather than a physical one lacks the natural reverb caused by sound waves bouncing off walls, floors and ceilings and reaching the ear in varying times and intensities, so it sounds somewhat unnatural.
