There has been a noticeable increase of late in the number of software bass emulations coming onto the market. A reflection, perhaps, of the fact that bass is an area where ‘real’ sounds have been in short supply when it comes to virtual instruments. Spectrasonics’ Trilogy is well-loved, but it hasn’t always had too much competition in the arena of electric bass emulation.
