Euphonix is one of a number of traditional console manufactures – including SSL and Neve – directing an increasing amount of its energies towards the professional project studio market. If you haven’t heard of the company before, Euphonix has built some of the most impressive digital consoles in the last ten years, in particular, a cutting-edge DAW controller in the form of the System 5-MC. As well as being an exceptionally well-designed console, the 5-MC also distinguishes itself through its use of a Euphonix-designed connection protocol, EuCon, which offers high-speed, high-resolution DAW control over Ethernet.
